Princess Cruises welcomed Australia’s first new ship of the summer season with Ruby Princess arriving Wednesday morning, October 23, at homeport Sydney NSW. The liner was welcomed with a fireworks show upon entering the harbour.
Ruby is the first Princess MedallionClass vessel homeported in Australia and features the new 6-course specialty restaurant SHARE (by Chef Curtis Stone). The 3080-passenger vessel will be upgraded to MedallionClass on January 27, 2020. The ship was last refurbished in October 2018 in a USD 8.2 million drydock to feature more dining venues like Slice Pizzeria and The Salty Dog Grill.
Ruby Princess joins Majestic Princess sailing 444 cruise days from Sydney NSW and generating combined capacity of 100,000+ passengers. The liner is scheduled to depart Sydney Wednesday afternoon on a 10-night voyage to Brisbane.
