Princess Cruises announced that it will extend eligibility for the company's loyalty program (Captain’s Club) to all cruise passengers, regardless of age. Program's benefits were previously available only to adults (passengers aged 18 and older).
Passengers attain Captain's Circle membership after the first Princess cruise and attain various tiers based on the number of voyages (or cruise days) accumulated with Princess Cruises since joining. The higher tiers, indicated to onboard staff by the color of the cruise card or programmed into the OceanMedallion on equipped vessels, come with additional benefits both at the time of booking and onboard. Benefits range from complimentary WiFi allotments, minibar setups, laundry, priority embarkation and disembarkation to exclusive onboard events and reduced deposits.
Princess cruisers under 18 will soon be able to receive their own Captain's Club membership number along with an account reflecting sailings already taken prior to the program expansion. Updated keycard colours are in the process of being rolled out across the cruise ships in the fleet not equipped with OceanMedallion.
