A boy died on an MSC Cruises ship at sea in Italy while sailing on MSC Divina. According to the crew, the reason was unknown and the condition had worsened suddenly.
At the time of the accident, the 12-year-old boy from Germany was on a Mediterranean voyage with his family. The young traveler fell ill when the ship was en-route to Cagliari (Sardinia Island) from Palermo (Sicily Island).
An MSC Cruises spokesperson said that a midnight request for medical care for the kid had come on Monday, October 21. Attempts to resuscitate the boy had failed and he had passed away.
MSC Cruises is working with authorities to support the investigation. The cruise ship authorities are currently in touch with the embassy and consulate personnel in order to assist the repatriation of the body at the earliest.
