The Italian company Costa Cruises (subsidiary of Carnival Corporation) teamed up with the Italy's annual week-long chocolate exhibition "Eurochocolate" to create a sweets-themed cruise package.
The 8-day voyage will visit several major European port cities, including Genoa, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Catania, Valletta (Malta).
To participate in the onboard chocolate-themed events, upon booking their cruise passengers also must purchase the EUR120 (US$132) "Eurochocolate package". As a bonus, they will also receive a welcome kit filled with chocolate-themed gadgets and gourmet sweets.
While on the Costa cruise ship, tourists can do things like learning how to make pastries or watching professionals create chocolate art. The itinerary features chocolate-themed cocktails, chocolate and wine tastings, meals prepared by renowned chefs, and chocolate-themed excursions.
The Eurochocolate Cruise is on the liner Costa Pacifica and leaves from Civitavecchia-Rome on April 16, 2020.
