Via partnership with Virgin Voyages, to the Florida's new high-speed railway system will be added a new train station at PortMiami linking directly the cruise port with Orlando International Airport.
The new station (Virgin Trains PortMiami) will be constructed in the period 2020-2022. The 275-km (170-mi) long railway connects to West Palm Beach FL to Orlando FL. Out of Orlando, the company plans to expand the railway to Tampa FL and Jacksonville FL.
PortMiami is currently homeporting 22 cruise liners. In 2019, it served 5+ million cruise passengers, ranking it world's busiest cruise port ever.
The rail, soon to be known as Virgin Train, is looking at additional stations in Aventura and Boca Raton.
