The final ship scheduled to sail during the 2019 cruise season, Star Princess, departed from Vancouver on Friday, November 1, marking the end of the 33rd season at Canada Place terminal, Port Vancouver.
For the second year in a row, the Port of Vancouver has been recognized by vacationers as one of the top-rated destinations in the U.S. and Canada. This year, it welcomed 1,077 million cruisers via 288 ship calls (22% increase over 2018).
Cruise is the region's key economic driver as each cruise ship that calls in Vancouver stimulates about US$3 million in direct activity to the economy.
The 2020 cruise season kicks off on April 2, 2020.
