A-ROSA Flussschiff GmbH is accepting bookings for its new E-Motion Ship, scheduled to sail the Rhine from 2021. The vessel is equipped with an air-bubble technology and a battery storage system, which extremely lower emissions.
During the voyage, the diesel consumption of the ship is reduced as much as possible and surplus power is stored. Arosa E-Motion Ship then uses the power to sail into harbors almost noiselessly, as well as without producing emissions. Like all A-ROSA Cruises ships, the newbuild also features an onshore power connection, allowing for battery charging and supply of electricity in the port.
In her first season, Arosa Emotion operates a total of 5 different itineraries, all beginning in Cologne and heading to the Dutch and Belgian metropolises. From May through October she will call at destinations like Antwerp, Amsterdam, and Rotterdam on a weekly basis.

Sailings lasting 4 or 5 nights are scheduled for autumn and advent 2021 and offer the best opportunity to relax before the beginning of the festive period or enjoy a spot of Christmas shopping in some of the metropolises in Europe. One-week voyages (over Christmas and during the new year) are a new feature on the ship.
For the first time, A-ROSA sailings will call at the cities of Utrecht and Dordrecht. This means that passengers will be able to visit Dordrecht Island, with its Great Church and picturesque street Hofstraat, or discover one of Utrecht's museums as they explore the port city.
The final cruise day of each river trip will be spent on the water so that vacationers can enjoy all of the E-Motion Ship amenities. With 20-m2 standard staterooms that have a balcony and 28-m2 family staterooms for up to 5 people in the Family Area (with a Kids Club), the company is setting new standards for river cruising. A variety of eateries and outdoor areas provide plenty of opportunities to relax and make the most of the scenery as it drifts by. A 23-square-metre pool is available for adults and a shallow pool for kids. The extra-large spa & wellness area is just the spot to unwind.
