Carnival Cruise Line launched a new marketing campaign named “The Fun Ones,” celebrating the playful spirit of the line’s passengers, how they choose fun, as well as the unique bond they have with fellow cruisers who are “shamelessly true to themselves.”
The Fun Ones is an evolution of Carnival’s Choose Fun campaign that was introduced in 2018 and featured Shaquille O’Neal as the brand’s Chief Fun Officer. The new campaign was created in tandem with the advertising agency of record Anomaly and showcases those passengers who embrace life by being their most fun-selves onboard.
Mixing vibrant imagery with tag lines including "Choose a Vacation as Fun as You” and “The Fun Ones Plan for No Plans,” the campaign conveys the everyone-is-welcome atmosphere attracting nearly 6 million vacationers annually and how they make trips more fun while reminding that when passengers board a Carnival ship, they are not sailing with strangers – they are among friends.
The message is delivered in out-of-home elements with 15-, 30- and 60-second commercials airing in key cruise markets like Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Orlando, and Tampa, on TV and radio, as well as national digital properties such as YouTube and Hulu.
