More than 100 additional coronavirus cases have been confirmed on the Princess Cruises ship quarantined off Japan's coast, Japanese authorities announced on Sunday, February 16.
According to Japanese Health Minister Katsunobu Kato, a total of 355 cruise passengers on Diamond Princess have now tested positive for Coronavirus, up from 218. The news comes as the US Department offered to evacuate US citizens stuck on the cruise ship, though they would still face quarantine in the USA.
Meanwhile, China announced a drop in the Coronavirus cases for the 3rd straight day, with 2009 new infections reported on Sunday, bringing the total number to over 68,000. Another 142 deaths were reported in China on Sunday.
