AmaWaterways announced fleet's 25th riverboat - AmaDahlia, scheduled for Nile River cruises in Egypt since September 2021. The 11-night cruise & land adventure includes a 7-night roundtrip river journey from Luxor and is paired with 3 nights pre- and 1-night post-cruise stays in Cairo at the 5-star Four Seasons, Cairo at The First Residence.
The Secrets of Egypt & Nile itinerary is due to provide travelers with an opportunity to experience the wonders of Egypt, while embraced in the luxurious atmosphere AmaWaterways passengers have come to love. Signature call ports along the itinerary are Aswan, Edfu and Qena (Dendera).
AmaWaterways newbuild will guide passengers through the heart of Egypt with millennia-old attractions, of which many are designated UNESCO World Heritage sites. Vacationers will follow expert guides to the Great Hypostyle Hall of Karnak, the Temple of Luxor, and the Valley of the Kings and Queens. They will be treated to private access to the Tomb of Queen Nefertari and Nubian village.
While in Cairo, they'll see Egyptian treasures like the 4,000-year-old Great Sphinx and 3 Pyramids of Giza, the Egyptian Museum, and take a private tour of the principal workplace of the President of Egypt, Abdeen Presidential Palace, considered one of the world's most luxurious palaces.
Newly designed to accommodate 68 passengers, AmaDahlia will feature a total of 34 luxurious staterooms, 24 of which are balcony suites measuring up to 430 ft2 (40 m2). Onboard amenities include a swimming pool, sun deck bar, fitness room, two massage rooms, hair and nail salon, and 2 restaurants - The Main Restaurant and The Chef’s Table, offering a 7-course menu. Passengers will be treated to authentic nightly entertainment including a Galabeya (traditional Egyptian gown) party, a Darawish show, and a Belly Dance show.
The round trip river sailing, (Luxor to Luxor), and Cairo program featuring intra-Egypt flights between Cairo and Luxor, is scheduled to operate seasonally from September to May each year. Secrets of Egypt & the Nile will be also offered with optional extensions such as pre-program, 3 nights in Dubai or 4 nights in Jordan (Amman, Petra) and post-program, 4 nights in Israel (Jerusalem). Passengers are encouraged to book by June 30 to enjoy early booking rewards.
Prices for the 11-night itinerary start from EUR 4.408 per person including the 7-night sailing from Luxor and 4 nights in Cairo. The fare is based on a category E stateroom on the September 10, 2021 departure and includes internal flights.
