A cruise passenger has been evacuated on Tuesday, March 17, from Voyager of The Seas which was docked in Sydney Harbour.
The patient was taken off the vessel after suffering a stroke onboard.
The Royal Caribbean ship, with nearly 4000 people onboard, docked for a short time in Sydney and later continued her journey before returning to the port city again on Wednesday.
The cruise left the port of Sydney on March 7 and has so far visited Noumea New Caledonia and Mystery Island Vanuatu. However, Voyager of The Seas was denied entry to Luganville and Port Vila.
A spokesperson for Royal Caribbean said that as the ship had been on an international itinerary, passengers would be "required to self-isolate under measures announced by the Australian Government."
