Laid up cruise ships could be used as floating hospitals for Coronavirus (COVID-19) patients. The UK company Saga Cruises offered its two liners to the NHS (UK's National Health Service) for extra capacity in case it is overwhelmed by the Coronavirus.
The liners - Saga Sapphire and Spirit of Discovery - are currently anchored at Tilbury Docks (London) after the Saga Cruises suspended fleet operations last week.
The ships have max passenger capacity 999 (Spirit Of Discovery) and 720 (Saga Sapphire). No decision has been made on whether the ships will be used by the NHS.
