In the midst of the cruise industry's pause in operations, Carnival is lighting up all of its vessels in North America and Australia with an inspirational message for its guests, crew, port partners, travel advisors, and communities in this time of challenge.
The “We Will Be Back” message is expected to uplift spirits and remind that cruising creates a lifetime of vacation memories.
Illuminating cruise ships with messages was tricky but fun at the same time, Stefan Christoffersson, Carnival’s vice president of housekeeping said. It is a process that took coordination between Carnival Cruise Line’s Miami headquarters and liners docked in ports along the Gulf of Mexico, East and West Coasts, Southern California, and Australia or anchored at sea.
Following a review of deck plans for each of the ships to determine which cabins will spell out the hopeful message, teams had to turn on the lights of hundreds of staterooms.
