This month, Lindblad Expeditions' newbuild ship - National Geographic Endurance - starts its inaugural cruises in the Arctic and beyond. However, the christening ceremony was postponed due to the global Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Lindblad Expeditions took delivery of Nat Geo Endurance in March from the shipbuilder Ulstein Verft (Ulsteinvik, Norway). Two years in the making the 126-passenger vessel has been designed by Ulstein Design as the ultimate platform with a focus on comfort and safety.
Patty Disken-Cahill director, communications at Lindblad Expeditions said that while "we are all social distancing at home, the team onboard National Geographic Endurance have been prepping and polishing every inch of the ship’s gleaming new surfaces so when guests can finally explore on her this remarkable ship will exceed their every expectation.”
