CCL-Carnival Cruise Line moved the Sunshine ship out of Charleston Harbor (South Carolina) to meet up with other fleetmates and assist a crew repatriation operation. It has not been announced where Carnival Sunshine, which left Charleston SC late last week, will be repositioned.
Carrying only crew (without any passengers), the Carnival liner Sunshine had been docked in Charleston SC (at Columbus Street Terminal) since CCL suspended cruise operations in mid-March due to the ongoing global COVID-19 pandemic. The vessel left Charleston and headed to The Bahamas, where it is believed to remain anchored offshore until CCL's operations resume in late-June.
