All the crew of the P&O UK-operated ship Oceana will remain onboard for 3 months while the vessel is docked at North Shields ' Northumbrian Quay (Port of Tyne England). The ship is there since early-June 2020.
With voyages canceled until at least October 15, 2020 (due to the COVID pandemic) P&O UK said its principal UK homeport Southampton has no berthing space for all liners, so Oceana was relocated to North Shields and will stay there for around 3 months.
P&O Cruises and Port of Tyne both say the 170 crew will remain onboard while the cruise ship is docked. According to Port of Tyne, P&O Oceana ship is scheduled to depart North Shields on September 15.
