Luftner-Amadeus River Cruises officially introduced its newest riverboat - Amadeus Imperial, during a christening ceremony in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Amadeus co-founder Martina Lueftner served as the ship’s godmother and christened the newbuild together with her husband and company co-founder Wolfgang Lueftner and their 3 daughters.

MS Amadeus Imperial is the 15th cruise ship in the Amadeus fleet. However, the Austria-based company is currently sailing just 6 vessels due to Europe’s COVID-related ban on American travelers.

Amadeus Imperial will sail the Danube, Main, Rhine, and the Dutch & Belgian waterways. The vessel has 4 decks and 84 staterooms (12 suites + 72 cabins). Most cabins are fitted with drop-down windows (French balconies) while the Suites are with step-out balconies with seating areas.
