TUI Cruises-operated liners Mein Schiff 1 and Mein Schiff 2 sailed back to Germany and are currently scheduled to leave again Friday evening, September 4.
With the two cruise ships, TUI made a new start on the German market. Schiff 1 and Schiff 2 have been cruising from homeports Hamburg and Kiel for a number of weeks. Most recently, they offered the so-called “panorama cruises”. These were originally intended to take place mostly in Norway but were diverted to the Baltic Sea after the territorial waters were closed, and sailed to the popular archipelago, Stockholm and Turku.
Back in their starting ports, today Schiff 1 (position) is in Kiel and Schiff 2 (position) in Hamburg. This week, Schiff 1 will set off on a panoramic cruise towards Stockholm and Turku as usual, while Schiff 2 offers a 3-night roundtrip to Skagen (technical stop) and sails back to Hamburg. In the respective German port, there will be regular cleaning of the cruise ships and a change of beds.
For the first time, the compulsory COVID test applies today and will continue to apply with effect from September 1, 2020.
