The small ship company Alaskan Dream Cruises introduced its 2021 Inside Passage Sojourn itinerary.
Passengers are invited to explore Sitka AK, which is the only community in Southeast Alaska facing the open ocean waters of the Gulf of Alaska, as well as visit sites that highlight the rich Alaska Native and Russian history of the community.
With the 76-passenger ship Chichagof Dream, travelers can embark for the winding narrows north of Sitka while searching for sea otters, bald eagles, whales, bears and other wildlife. The journey allows them to see Southeast Alaska, from its northern to southern ends, on the company's 8-night "Inside Passage Sojourn" between Sitka and Ketchikan AK via Glacier Bay, Juneau, Colt Island (Orca Point Lodge), Tracy Arm Fjord, Wrangell, Metlakatla (Annette Island), Misty Fjords.
The new Alaskan voyage visits native villages and unique towns, where vacationers will learn about the region’s history and 3 distinct Native cultures - Haida, Tlingit and Tsimshian. Along the route, passengers journey through the glacial fjords and abundant wildlife areas of Southeast Alaska. Skiff, kayak, and hiking trips allow for up-close exploration.
Prices start at USD 6000 per person (double-occupancy cabin rates). Kids aged 15 and under receive 15% discount.
