On October 22, the hull of the new polar expedition cruise ship for Lindblad Expeditions, National Geographic Resolution, arrived at Ulstein Verft shipyard in Norway, and now, comprehensive outfitting work will commence.
Expedition cruising is currently on hold, due to the worldwide COVID situation. National Geographic Resolution is still scheduled for delivery in 2021.
Her hull will be transferred to the dock hall of the yard, where electrical installations, hotel outfitting, and insulation work will commence. All major equipment including thrusters and engines were installed in Poland.
Quayside at Ulstein Verft is also sistership National Geographic Endurance which was delivered in March and will make her inaugural cruise when Lindblad Expeditions reactivates travel.
