In a recent discussion by Walt Disney Company’s CEO Bob Chapek, during the company’s 2020-Q4 earnings call about when the 3 newest ships of DCL-Disney Cruise Line will set sail on their maiden voyages, Chapek said (in regard to Disney Wish and her sisterships, that they were anticipating delivering their first new ship, the Wish in the summer of 2022 and then they would have their next 2 vessels in 2024 (Treasure) and 2025 (Destiny). And after a slight delay of roughly 6 months on those, they were going to be able to bring them into service.
It was previously announced that the first ship will be named Disney Wish and feature Rapunzel. Details about the other two newbuilds are expected to appear in the coming months.
DCL also released it’s onboard show production "Frozen, A Musical Spectacular" for all of its fans to reminisce about the joys of being onboard a Disney ship.
Disney, together with other major cruise lines, is beginning to implement new health and safety protocols in order to ensure its passengers' well-being in an effort to return to cruising.
