CCL-Carnival Cruise Line notified passengers and travel agents that it had cancelled additional sailings in 2021-Q1:
- all departures from homeports in the USA between January 1-31
- Itineraries leaving out of Baltimore, Charleston, Jacksonville, Mobile, New Orleans, Long Beach and San Diego through February 28.
- Carnival Legend's departures from Tampa Florida through March 26, 2021.
CCL is in the process of a gradual/phased-in approach to resume cruises, which will focus initially on Florida's homeports Miami and Port Canaveral, followed by Galveston Texas. Carnival Horizon is due to arrive in PortMiami this week, while Carnival Breeze is due to become the next liner back to the USA.
CCL had previously cancelled other itineraries on 4 ships (Paradise, Magic, Radiance, Valor) that are scheduled for drydocks during 2021-H1, with a plan to return them to operation after maintenance work and upgrades are finished. The company previously cancelled operations in Australia through March 2, 2021.
CCL's President Christine Duffy said:
“We are committed to meeting the CDC requirements and keeping our guests and business partners informed of our progress.
“The entire Carnival team appreciates the great support of our guests, travel advisors and business partners, and local officials in our homeports and destinations.”
