Fred Olsen Cruise Lines introduced a new voyage to the Balkan Peninsula in 2022 aboard MS Bolette ("MS Amsterdam" when operated by Holland America Line). The ‘Discovering the Balkans’ itinerary is now available to booking.
Fred Olsen’s Bolette (company's flagship) is scheduled to depart from Southampton UK on the 18-night cruise on June 14, 2022, with the trip combining hidden gems with popular destinations, exploring the centuries of civilizations that shaped the area as it is nowadays.
The voyage features a maiden call for Fred. Olsen to the town of Neum, Bosnia and Herzegovina to discover the historic village of Pocitelj and reconstructed Ottoman bridge Stari Most. At Kotor, Montenegro, which is another maiden call, passengers can enjoy sailing into the bay, considered one of the world's most beautiful port entrances.
Passengers who book by January 29 inclusive enjoy up to GBP 250 per person to spend onboard.
Bolette’s 18-night ‘Discovering the Balkans’ voyage is scheduled to depart from Southampton UK on June 14, 2022. Prices start from GBP 2,799 per person.
Ports of call include Southampton, Cartagena, cruising Strait of Messina, Kotor, Dubrovnik, Neum, Split, Durres, Cagliari, Tangier, Southampton.
This is the 6th itinerary to be released from Fred. Olsen's 2022 programme, and follows on from the 15-night ‘Rugged and Remote Spitsbergen’ sailing aboard Balmoral in June; 10-night ‘Revisiting Prussia’ aboard Braemar in August; 19-night ‘Canada in the Fall’ aboard Borealis and 28-night ‘Black Sea Discovery with the Mediterranean’ aboard Balmoral, both in September, as well as a 101-night World Cruise aboard Borealis departing in January of that year.
