MSC Cruises’ liner MSC Grandiosa returned to service on Sunday, January 24.
The ship resumed with a 7-day itinerary leaving roundtrip from homeport Genoa-Milan Italy and visiting Civitavecchia-Rome, Naples, Palermo Sicily and Valletta Malta.
A new ministerial decree authorized the resumption of cruises under health and safety protocols developed in summer 2021, along with Italy's health, transport and safety authorities. Since then, MSC has welcomed 30000+ passengers onboard 2 cruise ships homeported in Italy.
During the end-of-year period, Italy-based cruises were temporarily suspended due to restrictions imposed on movement within the country.
