The Carnival Corporation-owned premium travel brand Seabourn Cruises announced it was maintaining its optimism for the ultimate restart of travel while continuing to take a practical approach in extending its current pause in operation.
As a result of the Interim Order of the Canadian Transport Ministry that closed Canadian ports and waters to passenger ships, Seabourn is canceling its 2021 Alaska and British Columbia programs. This applies to 19 cruises scheduled for the ship Seabourn Odyssey, between Vancouver BC and Juneau AK, including one Pacific Coast relocation voyage at the end of the Alaskan season.
The company said customers with bookings affected by the announcement were being given "as much notice as possible to provide them with greater clarity around their travel plans."
Passengers with impacted cruise bookings are automatically cancelled and re-booked to a comparable 2022 sailing at the rate paid plus current amenities. If the guests prefer an alternative option, they can request a full refund of money paid to the line to the original form of payment or to be transferred to a new booking.
