Fred Olsen Cruise Lines became the latest company to announce UK domestic sailings for the summer months.
The company plans a restart in July 2021 with a series of 11 departures including fleet's new members Bolette and Borealis split between Liverpool and Dover.
The ‘Welcome Back’ programme aims to showcase the best of the British Isles, with scenic-only voyages and those with ports of call featured by the line's smaller ships.
Fred. Olsen joins other companies including P&O UK, Hurtigruten, Saga UK and Viking in planning UK summer sailings. The programme includes scenic cruises like Scotland's Shetland and Orkney Islands and the Isles of Scilly.
Borealis is to be the first of the fleet to set sail with a 3-night maiden cruise from Liverpool on July 5. Bolette is scheduled to debut from Dover for 3 nights on August 16.
No details about vaccination requirements have been given after P&O insisted that cruise passengers on its UK coastal sailings should have 2 jabs to be allowed onboard.
Sample fares start at GBP 549 per person for a 4-night sailing from Liverpool on Borealis on July 8, including GBP 75 onboard spending.
