TUI revealed it will be offering a range of domestic cruises for Brits later this year.
TUI's brand Marella Cruises will be hosting the voyages, although the company is remaining tight-lipped about what will be on offer.
On its Facebook page, the company wrote:
"We’re really pleased to announce we’ll be offering domestic cruises sailing from the UK this year. We can’t wait to welcome you back onboard. More details will be revealed soon."
Marella UK is joining a line-up of cruise companies launching ex-UK roundtrips including MSC, Viking Ocean, P&O UK.
Most are planning journeys for the summer from June through September. For some cruise companies like P&O and Princess Cruises, the voyages will only be opened to Brits fully COVID vaccinated, having received the 2nd dose at least 7 days before sailing.
Within hours of opening bookings, P&O UK saw an 'overwhelming' number of UK vacationers trying to book onto the cruises - including a maiden voyage for newbuild Iona - which even caused the company's website to face technical issues.
