The Royal Caribbean Group-owned luxury travel company Silversea announced it had sold all the 194 cabins on the Silver Shadow ship for the 5-month World Cruise scheduled for 2023.
The Monaco-based company announced the news on Tuesday, March 23, teasing the fast bookings for the "South Side Story - All the World's a Stage" voyage as the most successful in the brand's history.
Silversea’s World Cruise 2023 is scheduled to depart from Sydney NSW Australia on January 9, 2023, and arrive in Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades, Florida USA) on May 28, 2023. Over 139 nights, Silver Shadow will cross 5 continents to take guests to 66 destinations in 34 different countries. 40 of the destinations have not been visited on the company’s recent World Cruises. Guests can enjoy 20 overnights in 17 port cities, as well as ten bespoke events, 5 of which exclusive to world-cruising vacationers.
For the first time in the history of the company, the World Cruise 2023 features a door-to-door service for passengers’ convenience, transporting them to the port of Sydney in comfort.
First calls of the itinerary include Tasmania, New Zealand, Micronesia, Melanesia, the Philippines, Bangkok (Laem Chabang), Hong Kong, and Singapore, from where Silver Shadow will sail to Mahe Island, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, the Maldives, and Seychelles.
Travelers can experience Cape Town (South Africa), Tanzania, Madagascar, Mauritius, Reunion, Zanzibar, a UNESCO-listed World Heritage Site. The liner will sail along Africa's west coast to Dakar, visiting Namibia. Angola, Ghana. Across the Atlantic, passengers will be treated to a cruise on the Amazon River - a first for the line. Visiting 2 river towns in Brazil and Ile Royale (French Guiana), Silver Shadow will sail the Caribbean, visiting Mayreau Island, St. John's, Gustavia, San Juan, before reaching Florida.
Fares for the 2023 world voyage range from US$74,000 to US$278,000 per passenger, based on double occupancy. The recently refurbished Silver Shadow has a capacity of 388 guests.
