DCL-Disney Cruise Line is adding to the expanding flotilla of ships sailing around the UK this summer.
MS Disney Magic ship is scheduled to run a series of short cruises. The vessel will sail mostly 2- and 3-night sailings, as well as limited 4-night roundtrips from homeports London Tilbury, Liverpool, Newcastle, and Southampton.
Guests will remain aboard Disney Magic throughout the "cruises to nowhere".
DCL said Disney Magic's "Sea Staycations" are expected to go on sale in April 2021, "pending the issuance of UK government guidelines and authorizations."
“Disney Cruise Line is implementing multiple layers of health and safety measures considering guidance from the UK government, health authorities and medical experts. This includes Covid-19 testing, health screenings, face coverings, reduced guest capacity, physical distancing and enhanced cleaning.”
Families will be allowed onboard and DCL made no mention of COVID vaccinations being required by UK companies Cunard, P&O and Saga.
DCL-Disney put its 2022 European program on sale on Thursday, March 25, including 3 roundtrips from Dover UK.
In February, the line announced that all 2021 departures had been suspended from the USA until the end of May 2021 as well as the cancellation of Disney Magic’s European season through August 10.
