AIDA Cruises offers 7-day sailings around the Canary Islands with AIDAperla departing out of Las Palmas, Gran Canaria.
With testing for passengers and crew already utilized on several voyages, it is AIDA’s priority for all guests to enjoy their cruise vacation safely. Due to the regulations for safe travel of the Spanish government, which coincide with AIDA Cruises' enhanced health & safety protocols, many AIDA passengers have been able to enjoy relaxing holidays in the Canaries.
The enhanced health & safety protocols, tested by SGS Institut Fresenius and confirmed by the classification society DNV GL, include a mandatory PCR (polymerase chain reaction) test for detecting viruses and bacteria prior to traveling, as well as regular health checks, social distancing, and hygiene rules, medical care including test capacities onboard, and other measures.
AIDA sailings in other destinations are currently impossible. Due to the company’s Canary Islands program, all affected passengers can be offered an alternative with the 7-day voyages of AIDAperla. This applies to customers who originally booked a trip in the Mediterranean on AIDAblu, AIDAmira, and AIDAprima with departures up to and including May 9.
The same applies to all passengers who were originally due to depart from Hamburg, Germany to Northern Europe or Norway with AIDAsol, AIDAluna, or AIDAdiva up to and including April 28.
Guests whose cruise cannot take place as originally scheduled are being informed immediately.
