TUI Marella Cruises started selling summer voyages around the British Isles on Friday, April 16. The cruise company plans to join the armada of lines sailing around the United Kingdom this summer.
Marella Explorer is scheduled to depart from Southampton UK on June 25, sailing to new ports of call including Liverpool, Belfast, and Dublin.
Adult-only ship Marella Explorer 2 will start departing from Newcastle on July 10. The Newcastle voyages will go on sale by the end of April.
The Marella Explorer ship will sail 7 new UK itineraries, including a 3-night Sail the South Coast voyage, visiting Dover for Canterbury Cathedral as well as Portland for the Abbotsbury Swannery & Gardens.
Fares for the 3-night sailings start from under GBP 450.
Sail the Irish Sea is due to depart in August from Southampton UK, to visit Liverpool, Dublin, and Cobh-Cork (Ireland).
The Scottish itineraries include British Sights and Seas which features Invergordon, Kirkwall, Leith-Edinburgh, Newcastle prior to returning to Southampton UK. A Taste of the West Coast calls at Greenock, Belfast, Holyhead.
Travellers aged 18 and over are required to have had both COVID-19 vaccination jabs at least 7 days before sailing. Passengers under 18 must have a lateral flow test. Infants under the age of 2 are not able to sail as they are exempt from testing.
All passengers must also provide proof of a negative lateral flow test prior to boarding the ships at the beginning of the voyage.
Marella Cruises continues the pause in operations for its Marella Discovery and Marella Discovery 2 until July 31, 2021. These ships will homeport in Palma and Corfu during the summer.
Those booked on Marella Explorer and Marella Explorer 2 international sailings will have their cruises cancelled and offered the chance to rebook a UK voyage with an incentive or receive a full refund. Both vessels will be sailing their UK itineraries until September.
UK cruises are available only for UK residents with a valid passport and a permanent UK address.
