Working in coordination with Greece's Government, the Carnival Corporation-owned subsidiary HAL-Holland America Line received approval to restart sailings from Piraeus-Athens in August 2021, with 4 departures aboard the ship ms Eurodam.
Departing August 15 and 29, the “Idyllic Greek Isles” itinerary visits Kotor Montenegro, and the Greek isles Corfu, Santorini, Mykonos. “Ancient Wonders” departs on August 22 and visits Haifa Israel, Nafplio, Mykonos, Rhodes. Both options can be combined in a longer (14-day) B2B "Collectors’ Voyage".
A 7-day “Adriatic Allure” itinerary departing September 5 is from Athens to Venice Italy and visits Mykonos, Katakolon, Crete (Chania), Sarande Albania. More Mediterranean voyages on Eurodam (through fall 2021) are to be announced soon. Then the boat returns to the USA for the scheduled Caribbean roundtrips from Port Everglades (Fort Lauderdale, Florida).
Holland America Line sailings from Greece are available for passengers who have received the final dose of an approved COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days before the beginning of the voyage and have proof of vaccination.
Holland America passengers will be required to comply with all health & safety protocols in place at the time of departure for travel to/from the cruise ship, as well as all onboard protocols and procedures for visiting cruise ports.
Additional preventive health measures under Holland America’s “Travel Well” program will be in place, including health screenings, physical distancing, capacity controls, and face mask requirements.
Flexible cancellation terms, including COVID-19 Protections, are offered via “Book with Confidence” when booked by June 30 for sailings through December 31, 2021. The Cancellation Protection Plan of the line also allows cancellation up to 24 hours in advance.
To accommodate the new Greek sailings, Eurodam’s Seattle to Alaska program was rescheduled for the sistership ms Nieuw Amsterdam (sailing on the same departure dates). European cruises departing between July 1-25 on ms Volendam and July 1-August 31 on ms Westerdam will be canceled.
Fares for Eurodam’s 7-day Greece sailings begin at a “Have it All” premium package fare of US$2,000 per person including 1 shore excursion, specialty dining, a beverage package, and Wi-Fi. Cruise-only prices start at US$1,650 per person, double occupancy.
