One of the world's largest river cruise companies, AmaWaterways plans to restart operations in Europe with select ships, beginning July 3 in Portugal.
Kristin Karst (the company's Executive Vice President and Co-Founder) said they were "so excited to see the situation in Europe evolving in a positive direction" and were optimistic about the new tourist entry requirements.
"We are proud to announce a selection of sailings starting the first week of July in Portugal with other restart dates throughout July on select ships on all the European rivers including the most luxurious ship on the Danube River, the AmaMagna on July 21st.”
According to Rudi Schreiner (AmaWaterways’ President and Co-Founder), as they proceeded with their return to the rivers, they would "continue to monitor the updates from global health authorities, local governments and airlines with regards to the entry requirements.”

Sailing dates are as follows:
on July 3, AmaDouro starts sailings through Portugal (Douro River)
on July 21, AmaMagna starts sailings on Danube River
on July 22, AmaKristina starts sailings in France (Rhone River)
on July 22, AmaLyra starts sailings in France (Seine River) from Paris
on July 27, AmaVida starts sailings in Portugal and Spain (Douro River)
on July 29, AmaDolce starts sailings from Bordeaux France (Garonne River)
on July 29, AmaSiena starts sailings on Rhine River.
