The 93-day itinerary departs from Vancouver BC Canada on August 8, 2022, and visits 11 countries and Antarctica prior to disembarking passengers in Buenos Aires Argentina.
The expedition cruise is in ms Roald Amundsen, which is not only the first battery-hybrid powered cruise ship in the world but also named after the first explorer to successfully reach both the North and South poles, and the first person to navigate through the Northwest Passage (1903).
The voyage includes the Aleutian Islands along the Alaskan Peninsula and the St. Matthew Island, the most isolated spot in Alaska, before crossing the Arctic Circle and heading through the Northwest Passage to Greenland and Baffin Island.
Along the trip towards The South, ports of call include Belize & Nicaragua before the Panama Canal and the South American coastline.
