American guests embarked on a Viking Cruises' ship for the first time in 15 months, as the line continues the successful restart of operations.
Passengers boarded Viking Orion in Hamilton, Bermuda, for the new Bermuda Escape itinerary which is offered as part of Viking Cruises' Welcome Back collection, available exclusively for vaccinated guests.
It is the first of 8 round-trip cruises from Hamilton scheduled for the summer.
After departing the capital city, the 8-day trip continues with scenic sailing around the British island territory as well as an overnight in Kings Wharf.
Viking Cruises restarted operations in May 2021 and has been sailing in England with British passengers since May 22.
Later in June, Viking will launch Welcome Back journeys around Iceland and in the Mediterranean. The company will restart its river operations in Europe in July with select itineraries in France, Portugal, and along the Rhine River.
