Royal Caribbean's Anthem of the Seas arrived on Tuesday, June 29, in Southampton England before taking UK vacationers on new staycation voyages this summer.
The first of Royal Caribbean’s global fleet to once again welcome cruisers in Europe, Anthem OTS comes complete with the North Star - the tallest observation capsule at sea, a 360-degree observation capsule extending 91 m (300 ft) above sea level for scenic UK coastline views.
The North Star is just one of the unique world-class features onboard Anthem OTS, with the cruise ship having an array of activities. Adventures feature RipCord by iFly, the first sky diving experience at sea in the world; FlowRider, the line’s popular surf simulator; SeaPlex, the biggest indoor activity space at sea, complete with roller-skating and bumper cars.
The ship has a Bionic Bar where passengers can enjoy watching favourite drinks mixed by robotic bartenders prior to catching a show at Two70 or taking in the West End hit ‘We Will Rock You’ in the Royal Theater.
Anthem’s first voyage is set to depart on July 7, 2021.
UK nationals can choose from a combination of 4-night Ocean Getaways along with 5- to 8-night "British Isles" voyages that feature calls at iconic destinations around the UK, including Kirkwall Scotland, Belfast Northern Ireland, and Liverpool England.
Following a day of exploring the United Kingdom and onboard adventures, travellers can choose from a culinary lineup, such as Wonderland with its imaginative cuisine, classic American steakhouse Chops Grille; and Izumi, where for Far East flavours, fresh sushi, and much more.
