DCL-Disney Cruise Line announced it is postponing the test voyage on Disney Dream after a number of volunteers had inconsistent test results for COVID.
Disney Dream was scheduled to set sail on a simulated test cruise on Tuesday, June 29, from Port Canaveral (Orlando, Florida), with 300 employees onboard who had volunteered for the two-day trip.
However, the voluntary voyage was canceled until July, due to the inconsistent test results which are considered positive by the USA's CDC agency.
Disney statement reads:
“We are delaying our simulation cruise due to a small number of inconsistent COVID-19 test results, which are considered positive by the CDC. The rigorous health and safety protocols we have in place helped us identify the situation, though the test results were ultimately negative.”
