Princess Cruises announced that due to continued uncertainty regarding the timing for the resumption of passenger shipping operations in the region, voyages in / out of Australia and New Zealand are cancelled through December 19, 2021. The cancellations affected 3 liners - Coral, Emerald, and Sapphire.
For passengers booked on a cancelled sailing, Princess will move them to an equivalent sailing in 2022. The rebooking will have the added benefit of protecting the customers’ 2021 fare on their replacement voyage.
Alternatively, passengers can choose an FCC (future cruise credit) equivalent to 100% of the fare paid plus an additional non-refundable bonus FCC equal to 10% of the fare paid (minimum US$25) or a full refund to the original form of payment.
Requests have to be received through the company's online form by July 31, or clients will automatically receive the FCC option. FCCs can be used on any voyages booked by and sailing by December 31, 2022.
Princess Cruises said it will protect travel agent commission on bookings that were paid in full "in recognition of the critical role they play" in the line’s business and success.
