MSC announced that its Bellissima ship, one of the fleet’s most modern liners, will sail a total of 21 Red Sea voyages from the commercial hub of Saudi Arabia, Jeddah, between the end of July-late October.
Bellissima is the biggest cruise ship ever to sail the Red Sea waters. At the weekend, she arrived in Jeddah port in order to prepare for her maiden season.
MSC Bellissima, which entered service back in 2019, will offer 3- and 4-night sailings to Aqaba for Petra, Jordan, or to Safaga for Luxor, Egypt, prior to returning to the Saudi homeport.
The summer cruises add to MSC’s previously announced winter 2021-2022 Red Sea voyages from Jeddah beginning in November.
MSC Bellissima will be the 8th ship of MSC to resume sailings with passengers onboard with a further 3 ships preparing to start future voyages, which will see 50% of the line’s fleet back at sea by the end of summer.
Currently, 5 MSC ships are sailing in the Mediterranean, including Grandiosa, Magnifica, Orchestra, Seaside, and Splendida. Virtuosa is sailing around the UK, Seaview - in the Baltic Sea.
From August 2, MSC Meraviglia will resume Caribbean voyages from PortMiami Florida and will be joined in the region from September 18 when Divina restarts from Port Canaveral (Orlando, Florida).
Seashore is coming into service next month with Western Mediterranean voyages before MSC Cruises' newest flagship transfers in November to Port Miami for a Caribbean season.
