3 passengers from msc Grandiosa, which docked on July 3 in Port Barcelona, tested COVID-positive, and, as a result, were quarantined.
Local sources have confirmed that 3 infections had been detected on July 2, in the 4th and last of the tests to which all guests were subjected. The positive results had been detected by antigen tests.
Two of the COVID-positive are Barcelona residents, one is from Saragossa. The 3 individuals are quarantining outside the ship. They reportedly didn't have symptoms.
14 other people were determined to have had close contact with the infected guests via tracking bracelets. Subsequent tests for those individuals were negative.
The cruise company issued a press release saying that the protocols had worked “perfectly and strictly.”
