MSC Cruises plans a glamorous event in Dubai UAE (Port Rashid) for the naming ceremony of the fleet's newest vessel - the flagship MSC Virtuosa. The christening is currently scheduled for November 27, 2021.
MSC via a partnership with DP World, Dubai Tourism, and Emirates Airline, revealed that the naming of MSC Virtuosa at Port Rashid would reflect Dubai's growing importance as a destination for travelers from all around the world, as well as the contribution of the cruise industry to the tourism growth of the port city.
Invited guests can expect an event with a live program and various performances. The Gulf region is among the key markets for MSC and the line is the market leader here.
MSC Virtuosa's christening is expected to be held in compliance with public health and safety protocols established by the government of Dubai, as well as with the support of the company's health and safety protocol, which allowed MSC liners to resume sailings in the region.
The name of the liner is derived from “virtuoso” (Italian) and refers to the master craftsmen who developed the masterpiece. The Meraviglia-class boat MSC Virtuosa was officially delivered in February 2021 and is one of the most innovative in the fleet.
