A burst pipe on the RCI-Royal Caribbean’s cruise ship Quantum of the Seas caused flooding in crew areas (decks 2 and 1) on Wednesday, August 11, while the liner was in the South China Sea.
Videos show water flooding in crew corridors and cascading down the staircase, leaving some of the crew cabins flooded.
The accident didn't affect the liner's safety, and repairs were made fast.
Currently, everything is back to normal, and the crew members whose cabins were flooded moved to passenger accommodations.
Quantum of the Seas is sailing her Ocean Getaway "Cruises to Nowhere“ out of Singapore offering residents 3-/4-night roundtrips under Singapore Tourism Board's CruiseSafe certification.
