The world's third-largest cruise shipowner MSC announced that its Bellissima liner would extend the Saudi Arabia and Red Sea deployment for winter 2021-2022, following a successful inaugural season in the region during this summer.
MSC Bellissima's itineraries have proved popular since the ship commenced sailing there in July leaving roundtrip from homeport Jeddah. The extended Red Sea deployment is expected to enrich the vacation travel experience for domestic and foreign tourists looking for a winter getaway.
Bellissima will replace the fleetmate MSC Magnifica, which was previously due to serve in the region this winter.
The itinerary for winter 2021-2022 is new for MSC (and industry's first of its kind), offering unique opportunities to discover Egypt, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia by cruising, visiting culturally rich destinations, and providing guests the opportunity to immerse themselves in the history and traditions of the region.
From October 30, 2021, MSC Bellissima will sail on 7-night roundtrips from Jeddah, visiting the Saudi ports Ar-Ras al-Abyad (Al Rayes White Head Beach), Yanbu Al Bahr, Al-Wajh, then Egypt's Safaga (port to Luxor) and Jordan's Aqaba (port to Petra).
At the end of March 2022, Bellissima will leave the region and reposition to Japan for roundtrips out of homeport Yokohama (Tokyo) - starting April 21st.
