On September 22, Port Southampton (England UK) welcomed RSSC-Regent's luxury ship Seven Seas Splendor, the first cruise ship from the port's cruise partner NCLH-Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings to make an official call at the new Horizon Cruise Terminal.
The vessel then departed on a 14-night international voyage which is scheduled to end in Barcelona Spain following calls in France and Portugal.
The Port’s GBP 55 million, multi-user terminal is a strategic partnership with MSC and NCLH.
The NCLH partnership with the Port secures regular calls from the Holdings for a number of years. The call by Seven Seas Splendor marked the first ship’s first visit to this partnership.
At 55,254 GT and 735 ft (224 m) in length, RSSC’s Splendor has 13 decks and is served by 551 crew who deliver the highest benchmarks of personalized service for 750 passengers in 375 staterooms, ranging between 305-4445 ft2 (28-413 m2). The ship’s public spaces include 5 restaurants and 3 bars and lounges, while a US$5 million curated art collection, 500+ crystal chandeliers, and more than an acre of Italian marble, complement the sophistication.
Seven Seas Splendor was welcomed to the port city with a traditional Plaque & Key ceremony.
