Princess Cruises celebrated Majestic Princess' arrival and return to service at the Port of Los Angeles (Long Beach-San Pedro, California) on Wednesday, October 6.
The Port of LA and Princess highlighted the positive multi-dimensional impact that cruising has on Los Angeles and its surrounding communities. Each cruise ship call infuses US$1+ million into the local economy.
Princess Cruises is Los Angeles’ hometown cruise company and leader on the West Coast. The line sails more frequently than any other in the region, contributing US$594 million to the LA economy in 2019. Over the past decade, Princess had 700+ ship visits in the Port, the most of any cruise line.
The company is also popular for its co-starring role on the TV series “The Love Boat” and sailed with the cast members and guest stars from the Port of LA to the Mexican Riviera.
Majestic Princess completed her partial summer season in Alaska. The vessel is scheduled to depart from the Port of LA in San Pedro on a total of 14 roundtrip departures through the end of 2021. Cruise itineraries feature the California Coast, Mexican Riviera, and West Coast Getaways, ranging from 3 to 10 days.
