DCL-Disney Cruise Line revealed it was closely monitoring the tropical depression in the Pacific Ocean that was forecasted to become Tropical Storm Pamela by Monday afternoon, October 11.
Based on the recent weather forecast, it was unlikely that Disney Wonder would be able to call at Cabo San Lucas Mexico on Wednesday, October 13. Therefore, the October 11 itinerary of the liner was modified and will replace Cabo with Ensenada.
Disney Wonder departed San Diego, California on Monday, October 11, and will now call at Ensenada (Baja California) on Wednesday, October 13, and sail back to San Diego on Friday, October 15.
The forecast models indicated that between October 12-13, Tropical Storm Pamela would cause powerful winds, heavy rains, and high waves during its path along the Los Cabos coast.
Pre-reserved shore excursions in Cabo were automatically removed from stateroom accounts. In case passengers are interested in reserving onshore experiences in Ensenada, they may do so once aboard the ship via the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app.
