MSC Cruises announced that Malaga (Spain Granada) will be the homeport (for embarkation) in summer 2022 for a new 10-night (11-day) Western Mediterranean itinerary scheduled for June-October.
The voyage will take place aboard the MSC Orchestra ship, which has max capacity 3223 passengers plus ~1300 crew.
Malaga will be the port of embarkation for MSC Orchestra 12 times, which is expected to contribute to local business and trade. This will have an economic impact on the local economy during the cruise season of the ship.
With this announcement, MSC reinforces its confidence in Port Malaga, as Orchestra's 12 visits are added to the 27 visits already announced for 2022.
In its ongoing commitment to national ports, the cruise line has announced that MSC Orchestra would also have Alicante as an embarkation port for this itinerary, which would allow more Spaniards to enjoy a safe holiday in the Mediterranean.
On this itinerary, the MSC Orchestra ship will offer the chance to embark on a cruise in which the Iberian Peninsula and Spain will be one of the main attractions, as the voyage will include calls at Genoa (Milan), Olbia (Sardinia), Marseille (France), Cadiz (Spain), Menorca Island, Lisbon (Portugal), Alicante, Malaga.
