NCL-Norwegian Cruise Line announced additional sailing cancellations on top of those announced last week.
A total of 11x NCL ships are suspending operations.
The canceled voyages come amid rising fears of omicron-related COVID infections.
Two ships - homeported in Port Canaveral (Orlando, Florida) and Tampa (Florida USA) - are on the list, including Norwegian Escape and Norwegian Dawn, respectively.
NCL said the health and safety of their guests, crew, and communities they visit was their number one priority.
"Due to ongoing travel restrictions, a select number of sailings across the fleet have been affected."
The impacted NCL liners include :
- Norwegian Pearl sailings with embarkation dates through/including Jan 17, 2022
- Norwegian Dawn sailings with embarkation dates through/including Jan 18, 2022
- Norwegian Getaway sailings with embarkation dates through/including Jan 19, 2022
- Norwegian Escape sailings with embarkation dates through/including Jan 22, 2022
- Norwegian Joy sailings with embarkation dates through/including Jan 22, 2022
- Norwegian Sky sailings with embarkation dates through/including Feb 25, 2022
- Pride of America sailings with embarkation dates through/including Feb 26, 2022
- Norwegian Jade sailings with embarkation dates through/including Mar 3, 2022
- Norwegian Star sailings with embarkation dates through/including Mar 19, 2022
- Norwegian Sun sailings with embarkation dates through/including Apr 19, 2022
- Norwegian Spirit sailings with embarkation dates through/including Apr 23, 2022.
Those who have an active booking for one of the affected voyages will automatically receive a full refund of the fare in the original form of payment.
Additionally, a Future Cruise Credit (FCC) will be automatically added to the passenger's account as of Jan 7, 2022. The discount can be used to make a booking from Jan 7, 2022, through Jan 7, 2023, and can be applied to any cruises through May 31, 2023.
