On Tuesday, January 25, cranes lowered the iconic winged funnel onto CCL-Carnival Cruise Line's newest ship Carnival Celebration where she is being built at the Meyer Turku shipyard in Turku (Finland).
Carnival Celebration’s crowning is a major milestone in her construction, signaling she is closer to being outfitted with some of the same features already wowing passengers on sistership Mardi Gras, such as the BOLT roller coaster, and other unique amenities.
The building milestone happened just as cruises were opened for sale on Carnival Celebration’s newest sistership, Carnival Jubilee, coming in 2023.
Carnival Celebration is scheduled to enter service in November, part of Carnival’s year-long 50th birthday festivities. She is expected to sail to the Caribbean from PortMiami Florida.
