Algoma is a Lake Michigan cruise port and town in Wisconsin USA (Kewaunee County) with population around 3,000. Algoma is at the Ahnapee River's mouth and is road-connected with Sturgeon Bay (via highway WIS 42) to the north and with Kewaunee to the south, as well as with Green Bay (via highway WIS 54) to the west.

Watercraft (boats, yachts and cruise ships) dock at Hill Pier 42 Marina.

Being one of the Great Lakes, Lake Michigan has surface area (22300 mi2/58000 km2), water volume (1180 mi3/4900 km3) max depth (925 ft/282 m), cities in Illinois (Chicago), Indiana (Gary), Wisconsin (Green Bay, Sheboygan, Milwaukee, Kenosha, Racine) and Michigan (Muskegon, Traverse City).

Currently, the largest by capacity Great Lakes cruise companies are Viking Cruises USA (ships Viking Octantis, Viking Polaris), AQV-American Queen Voyages (ships Ocean Navigator, Ocean Voyager), Pearl Seas Cruises (Pearl Mist), and the Canadian company St Lawrence Cruise Lines (Canadian Empress). Other travel brands that offer Great Lakes voyages are PONANT and Tauck (fleet).

Algoma WI's most popular tourist activities include sports fishing, sailing, leisure boating, trailing, Since 2000, the town helds annually the Algoma Car Show (in June, showcasing classical cars and trucks), Shanty Days Fair (in August, presenting foods, draft beer, wine tasting, live music, arts and crafts show, fireworks, parade) and The Park Concerts Series (in July-August).

The settlement was established in the mid-19th-century (1834). The town (as Wolf River) was founded in 1851, renamed Ahnapee in 1859, incorporated in 1879, and renamed Algoma in 1897. One of the town's major industries was commercial fishing, having the largest fishing fleet on Lake Michigan.

Algoma started to develop following the integration into A&W (Ahnapee and Western Railway, length 35 mi / 56 km) which interconnected Sturgeon Bay (northern terminus), Maplewood, Forestville, Algoma, Casco, Kewaunee, Green Bay (southern/western terminus). Part of the historic A&W railroad is the current-day Ahnapee State Trail - a multi-purpose trail for activities like hiking, biking, horse riding, and snowmobiling. The trail runs the former Green Bay and Western Railroad's line from Casco Junction to Sturgeon Bay.
